CBFC: CENTRAL BOARD OF FILM CERTIFICATION
When it comes to movies, the thing that we are concerned the most is rating. Before book ticket, we go through all sort of ratings that we can get, be it critics, viewers, etc.
Have we ever wondered every time we get into theaters before Ramesh dying in due to cancer every time and a very famous tagline "iss sher ko yeh hua kya hai....." and all that to educate people to quit tobacco and choose life, there comes a certificate naming the movie that we are gonna see, its duration, and in bold the certification type U/A, A, U and sometimes even S(For special Class people) in big and bold. This is what makes the central board of film certification aka censor board.
Here it comes DO U KNOW? ABOUT THESE A**H*L*S?
Initially when the censor board was established to certify movies in India the only power they had was just to certify movies. They were not given any powers to remove a particular scene from a movie or just banish the entire movie.
Currently, there was an RTI filled by some person from Mumbai about the guidelines and powers the censor board has what he found was extremely shocking, it stated that"CBFC is meant to certify movies".
THEN WHY DID THESE MOVIES SUFFER!
1. UDTA PUNJAB
94 deleted scenes, a huge success in making records by the censor board. And even more, the movie was leaked by the censor board.
ACTUALLY WHAT WE SAW WAS CUT FROM ANOTHER CUT.
LASTLY, IT WAS JUST THE TRUTH WHAT THE FILMMAKERS WANTED TO DELIVER TO THE AUDIENCE.
2. NH 10(2015)
Initially, during its first review by the board, the movie was suggested with 30 cut both including audio and visual. These cuts were bought down to 9 later on.
Apart from this we must know the movie was not even permitted to be released by half the members of the board due to the silly reasons they gave like use of too much violence just against women would just encourage the men on how to be more aggressive against them, the use of words like Kuti and randi for women is something that hampers women's prestige and honor in our Indian society.
One of the major reasons the board wanted to ban this film was excessive of violence against women.
3. HEROINE(2012)
The movie was an epic medium in showing the present scenario about women in Indian society. But it seemed like our outdated censor board had some issues dealing with it.
Initially, the board suggested 14 cuts to the movie mainly due to the use of violence and abusive language for women. The other was the scenes were Kareena Kapoor Khan has been portrayed as a chain smoker and an alcoholic lady, the reason the board members gave was that it's just not a reality and even if it is the scene might increase the chances of women using one of those medium to carry out their social and personal issues.

I believe Mr.censor board u need to get out of your office have a look around the streets and u will know the blunt truth about the Indian society and how it's changing at an alarming level. Women you are talking about to be "saatiSavitrii", I am sorry to say this the definition to be one of such kind have been altered in much Indian society during the past few years.
